Here in San Miguel we have what you call "a great walkability!", Located right across from us, houses a delicious restaurant of burgers and beers. You can even watch a football game on television there, on a good night. We have a small market, Andy's, close to home for these "forgotten objects". A coffee will soon be at the foot of the building. There are more than 5 cafes within walking distance of our house, if you are not interested in a new home brew. We have Japanese, Peruvian, Brazilian, Bolivian, Italian, Asian, American, German, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Indian, French and other restaurants nearby. And here we have a food delivery service similar to UberEats. There are 2 Spanish congregations within walking distance. Consult JW.ORG for all the languages served in La Paz.
We have a parking garage in the basement. Please let us know if you will need to use it. Otherwise, getting around is very easy. Minibuses, regular buses, taxis, Uber and cable cars are easily accessible. The MegaCenter shopping center is not far from your home. On Wednesdays, they have one, they get a free special at the theater. We highly recommend the VIP theater! (Taxi 10-12b) Valle de la Luna is about 20-40 minutes by bus from our house, depending on traffic.Sopocachi is 20 minutes by teleferico. Large groups of tourists are there. And, they have markets for tourists to buy souvenirs in Sagarnaga. Just a FYI: When we go to the airport, we always allocate 1 hour of travel time or more. We take a taxi to the green Teleferico station. Then we take it to yellow. Follow the yellow until the end. (Do not forget to watch the breathtaking views of your trip to El Alto ... and Mount Illimani in all its splendor!) Once arrived at the end of the yellow, we take a taxi to get to airport. -25 lbs The total cost for 2 people to ride this method should not cost more than $ 7. It's much faster than taking a taxi or a bus. However, it is not the cheapest. You must choose what suits you best! Come by bus? You can take a taxi or bus that says San Miguel. However, I prefer to walk to the orange teleferico station and go to San Miguel. It's a long journey, but it's quaint and refreshing.
